When Hope & Equip was approached with an opportunity to help single mothers gain skills to provide for their families, the Sewing Center was born. With funding from Hope & Equip, two classrooms and a storage facility were constructed to create a dedicated space for vocational and business training. Each year, 25 women learn sewing skills and how to build a business, creating a pathway toward greater financial independence. This year, the Hope & Equip team had the privilege of attending graduation and presenting each graduate with a new sewing machine—turning her training into an immediate opportunity to earn an income. Through this partnership with Rwanda Children, women are gaining more than a skill; they are restoring dignity, creating hope, and building a more secure future for themselves and their families.
