The crisis in Cuba is no longer simply a matter of scarcity—it is a daily struggle for survival. Families are facing severe shortages of food, clean water, medicine, fuel, electricity, transportation, and other basic necessities. For many, providing something as simple as a daily meal has become increasingly difficult.
Yet in the midst of this hardship, an extraordinary spirit of unity is emerging.
On July 30, ministry leaders gathered at the Brentwood Hills congregation near Nashville for a Cuba Summit centered around one urgent question:
CUBA FOOD RELIEF
Hope & Equip is working alongside several organizations to source food, ship containers to Cuba, and coordinate the local logistics needed to get these supplies into the hands of families and communities who need them most.
Our goal is to raise $400,000 to help make this relief effort possible. Your gift directly supports the purchase, shipment, and distribution of food throughout Cuba.
Help us provide food, hope, and practical relief.
Since that meeting, six ministry organizations—Herald of Truth, One Kingdom, Great Cities Missions, Healing Hands International, Sunset International Bible Institute, and Hope & Equip—have joined together, along with individuals and congregations, around one shared purpose:
Each organization brings different strengths, relationships, and resources, but together we can accomplish far more than any of us could accomplish alone.
The coalition is working to raise $400,000 to provide two critical resources:
Filled with life-sustaining food for families and communities facing severe shortages. Each container represents hundreds of thousands of meals and the opportunity to provide nourishment to people who desperately need it.
Getting food into Cuba is only part of the challenge. It must also reach the people who need it most. A cargo van will provide trusted ministry leaders with reliable transportation to distribute food and essential supplies to churches, families, and communities across the island.
Many of you have already given generously, and we cannot thank you enough. Your generosity is turning concern into action and compassion into food for families.
For those learning about this effort for the first time, we invite you to join us.
Every gift matters. Every container means food. Every delivery means hope. And every contribution equips local Christians to serve their neighbors and demonstrate the love of Jesus in a tangible way during one of the most difficult seasons Cuba has faced.
This is about more than delivering food. It is about sustaining lives, strengthening local churches, encouraging faithful Christians, and reminding people facing extraordinary hardship that they have not been forgotten.
Together, we have an opportunity to do more than meet an urgent physical need. As we provide life-sustaining resources, we are also equipping local preachers and ministry leaders to serve their communities, build meaningful relationships, and share the life-changing hope of Jesus. Every meal delivered becomes an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ—and open a door for the Gospel.
